Discontinued does not mean the 2026 benefit disappeared

Hyundai Card ended new, replacement, additional, and renewal issuance of MX Black on September 1, 2023. Existing cards can use their services until the printed expiration date. Lost or damaged cards may be reissued only within that existing validity period, without extending it.

The 2026 Platinum lounge and valet notices still list MX Black under the KRW 500,000 group for both Visa Platinum and Mastercard Platinum. This supports benefits for a still-valid card during 2026; it does not reopen applications or guarantee the 2027 program.

Lounge: two visits for the primary member

Bring the same-day departing boarding pass and the eligible physical card. The lounge terminal checks eligibility. The first-generation notice does not describe a THE LOUNGE app pass or QR procedure, so do not apply Edition2 instructions to this card.

A Mastercard holder at Incheon T1 should use Sky Hub rather than Matina. Up to two companions may enter, but they are not free. The 2026 notice lists KRW 34,000 per companion at both Sky Hub and Matina.

Incheon Airport valet: three uses, parking extra

T1 and T2 are eligible for both Visa and Mastercard. The limit is three uses per month across both terminals, with primary and family-card activity combined. The free item is the valet service fee, not the airport parking charge.

  1. Reserve before departure when possible.
  2. Follow the valet signs to the handover area.
  3. Hand the vehicle to Maxerve staff wearing blue uniforms.
  4. On arrival, go to the collection point printed on the receipt.
  5. Present the physical eligible card and receipt for approval before collecting the vehicle.

Service can be limited by airport operations, major events, or capacity.

Hotel valet: using the property is part of the condition

The limit is three uses per month at each eligible hotel, with primary and family-card activity combined. Up to three hours of parking is included. The service is for the primary member’s vehicle when using a room or food-and-beverage outlet. A hotel may request a receipt; without it, or after three hours, valet and parking charges may apply.

Visa is eligible at 22 hotels and Mastercard at 21.

JW Marriott Hotel Seoul has a combined limit of once per month for Mastercard. Le Méridien & Moxy Seoul Myeongdong and The Westin Josun Busan are marked only for UnionPay in the 2026 table and therefore are not available to a first-generation Visa or Mastercard MX Black card.

Read the family-card wording conservatively

The notice combines primary and family-card spend and usage counts, but its opening condition says the service is provided to the primary member. The hotel section again limits service to the primary member’s vehicle. Family-card activity can therefore fill the combined spend or quota, but the public wording does not clearly guarantee standalone use by a family-card holder.

KRW 500,000 may not mean the previous calendar month

For this Platinum network service, Hyundai Card uses each payment date’s usage period. The official example for a payment date on the 25th counts transactions from the 14th of the previous month through the 13th of the current month. Qualification makes the service available from the first to the last day of the month.

Card loans, cash advances, annual fees, charges, and interest are excluded. A payment-date change, delayed merchant submission, or cancellation can change the result. The 2026 first-generation lounge/valet notice does not state a spend waiver for a new or replacement month. Do not borrow the separate M Point or discount waiver.

Final checklist before leaving

  • Confirm the name is MX Black without Edition2.
  • Bring the Visa or Mastercard Platinum physical card.
  • Check the KRW 500,000 payment-cycle spend.
  • Check the remaining annual lounge and monthly valet quota.
  • Ask Hyundai Card or the property before standalone family-card use.
  • Reconfirm lounge operation and valet reservations.
